Vin Diesel is an American actor, producer, and director best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise. With his deep voice and action-packed performances, he has become one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Aside from action films, he has also voiced Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, making him a favorite in both action and superhero movies.
Before becoming a global star, Diesel struggled to break into Hollywood. He started performing in theater as a child and later worked odd jobs while pursuing acting. To get noticed, he wrote, directed, and starred in a short film called Multi-Facial (1995), which showcased his talent and caught the attention of Steven Spielberg. This led to a role in Saving Private Ryan (1998), kickstarting his Hollywood journey.
Despite his tough on-screen image, Diesel is a huge fan of Dungeons & Dragons and has been playing for years. He also founded his own production company, One Race Films, which has helped produce many of his movies.
Born Mark Sinclair, Diesel was raised by his mother and stepfather in New York City. He has a twin brother, Paul Vincent. He keeps his personal life private but has been in a long-term relationship with model Paloma Jiménez, with whom he has three children.
Diesel has worked closely with many Hollywood stars, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez in Fast & Furious. He was also close friends with the late Paul Walker, whom he considered a brother.
